We understand that cancellations can sometimes be unavoidable. In the unlikely scenario that a Host has to cancel, the Guest will be issued a full refund.
Guests have the right to a full refund if cancelling within 24 hours of initial booking. Until 14 days before the date of arrival or event, Guests will receive a 50% refund minus any service fees. After this time, the full cost of the booking will be non-refundable.
Some Hosts prefer to create their own cancellation policy and in this case, the Host’s cancellation policy will take precedence over HiBnb’s policy stated herein. You can read about the Host’s cancellation policy on the listing page of the accommodation, at the time of booking, and under View Details in your Guest Dashboard.
HiBnb allows for extenuating circumstances and full refunds will be permitted at the sole discretion of the Host in cases of death of a family member, severe illness, natural disaster, severe weather conditions making travel unsafe, pandemic, or political unrest.
